Amendment 2 to NZS3604 published by Standards NZ

Amendment 2 resulting from changes to timber grades in NZS3603 has been published and appended to NZS3604:1999. The amendment provides design solutions for the new timber grades, MSG6, MSG8/VSG8/G8, MSG10/VSG10. The amendment is available for purchase from standards New Zealand. It is now up to the Department of Building and Housing to decide whether they cite NZS3604 Amendment 2 and NZS3603 Amendment 4 into the building code. Their decision is pending but this is likely to be made within the next 6 weeks. We will advise you as soon as this decison has been announced.
